Summary/Review:

The very anticipated book four is almost here. When my reciew copy came in, my kids grabbed it out of my hands and were fighting over who could read it first. This series is near and dear to be because there are moments in Amina and he family that take me back to my own childhood and navigating the struggles of adjusting to a new place and making space for yourself.

In this book Amina is partnered with Tara (who doesn’t think much of Amina) for a Science Fair project. At home Amina is thrilled that her grandmother is visiting them from Syria hoping that Tete will bring a piece of her past from back home.

The natural presence of Islam in this book and the series as a whole is beautiful, everytime. We read this book aloud with my kids this past week, and I didn’t realize how much I missed reading stories to them since they have been reading independently for a long time now. We already have another book ready fo our read-aloud sessions.

This book comes out May 10, get your copy or request it from your library!
