Summary/Review:
This book is a nonfiction resource about Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. We follow a Muslim character named Raya as she takes us through Ramadan activities and ways that Muslims observe this holy month. From spotting the moon, to fasting, iftar, ramadan activities, charity, praying in congregation, reading qur’an, taraweeh, looking for the Eid moon and celebrating with family.

Honestly, what makes this book unique are the details in the back that give the reader so much insight not only about Ramadan but much more. Highlights the 5 pillars, the lunar calendar, Ramadan, the 3 holy masjids and it even includes a ramadan craft and an iftar recipe.

The details are thouroughly thought out and perfectly organized. This is an incredible resource for a classroom and have easily available at the library. I was excited to see Sara Khan’s work extending beyong the awesome boardbook set she is known for.
