The Very Hungry Caterpillar’s Eid

Publisher: Penguin Random House
Age: 0-4

Islamic Content: Eid
Concerns: None

Summary/Review:

Who doesn’t love the hungry caterpillar books. This new one is a lift-the-flaps board book written in rhyme. Nothing Islamic is in the book. It mentions all the generic superficial holiday things that can apply to any celebration, crescent moon, decor and family fun. But of course seeing the popularly iconic caterpillar celebrating Eid will get the kids and Muslim adults excited. The bright illustrations got my toddler flipping through the pages and going back and spending time with the book over and over again.
