Miracles of the Prophets

📚 The Miracles of the Prophets 📚
Publisher: Learning Roots
Age: 4-8

Islamic Content: Miracles Allah granted to different Prophets
Concerns: None

Summary/Review:
This large size picture book offers incredible snippets from the lives of prophets of Allah. As the title states, it focuses on the different miracles that Allah (swt) has granted to each different prophet, from Adam (alayhi salam) to prophet Eesa (alayhi salam). (Miracles of prophet Muhammed book is to be a separate book. The text is simple and to the point. The short and playful text keeps kids interested and doesn’t lose their focus. The illustrations are vibrant and powerful. Zayd and his friends follow the story, but what I appreciate in this book is the fact that kids in the scenes have modern clothing & accessories such as backpacks and devices which makes clear to the readers (and kids) that the characters are not intended to be certain depictions, compared to the Super Sahaba Stories which caused a confusion in my household. There was nothing of concern in the content however, for the ease of mind for the readers/parents, Muslim publishers should normalize either listing the authentic sourcing in the backmatter or stating that the content of the book has been checked and approved by a qualified alim. There is a huge gap in the Muslim Kid Lit space for non-fiction books, and this book is gem for this age group.
