Summary/Review:
When I first got the request to review this book, it was the illustration style that intrigued me. Then the book arrived and not only did I like the illustrations, I also enjoyed the story. The text rhymes and has a good flow. Eshaal is a brave princess and has courage to face the Big Bad Hippo in Olive Town. The story is more about being courageous to face bullies rather than patience itself. Although, rhyming books usually have me sceptical, but this one works and it has a nice, consistent flow. I read this book to my 8yo and she really liked it as well. Islam is present in the story. The protagonist makes du’a to Allah for success and her du’a is answered. An adorable book for read-a-loud or bedtime routine.
