📚 Rose Weaves a Garden 📚
Author/Illustrator: Rashin Kheiriyeh
Publisher: Anne Schwartz Books
Age: 4-8

Islamic Content: Set in Iran, no Islam
Concerns: None

Years ago, I have read this author/illustrator’s book called Saffron Ice Cream, and it did not impress me. But nonetheless I decided to give this book a try.

The beautiful cover is what drew my attention to the book. The story is gentle and kind. Rose watches and learns art and skill about weaving rugs from her Babajoon. So when he fall ill, she knows exactly how to cheer him up. The beautiful story of intergenerational bond and how traditions are passed down comes through nicely. The story is set in Iran. This is a cultural book, there is no Islam present.
