Summary/Review:

This is an interactive board book about Ramadan that is written in rhyme. It touches on some of the main points of ibadah that Muslims engage in during this holy month. Such as moon sighting, suhoor, prayer, reading Qur’an, giving sadaqah breaking fast and finishing off the month with Eid ul Fitr. I like this book, the rhymes are nicely done and the simplicity in the illustrations works well. However I find the physical quality of the flaps and other interactions on each page to be flimsy and can easily be ripped by a toddler. My copy already has a rip on it even though it has stayed on my shelf most of the time with my to be reviewed Ramadan pile. Also the back cover has a warning sign that the book is not to be used by kids 0-3 yet board books are exactly for this age group so I was confused by this contradiction. Overall, it is a nicely written book, I just wish it was presented in higher quality print.
