Summary:
Amina is starting in a new school in a new country. She loves bananas and loves science. She comes up with a formula on how to make friends in America. It can’t be that hard.

Review:
I don’t often get books this far in advance from their publishing date but I am so excited to start off 2025 with this review!

In this book, the reader is introduced to Amina and her struggles to navigate daily routine in a new school. She is smart and loves science but making American friends is her goal. She quickly learns that scientific formulas are much more reliable than friendship formulas.

So many beautiful elements in this book but one that I find incredibly powerful is her faith! Her Muslim faith is not portrayed as questionable identity, rather it is what brings her strength and security in times of uncertainty. I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!
