Islamic Content: Allah created people into races and tribes
Concerns: None

Summary/Review:
We have seen so many different books mainstream representing a diverse kids and their diverse appearances. (skin colour, hair, disabilities, cultures) This book tackles this topic from an Islamic lens. The book is inspired by the verse in the Qur’an where Allah says that He has made us into races and tribes (Surah Hujarat Aya 13).

There is no plotline in the book. The book begins with asking the reader what our world would look like if we were all made with identical features, likes and dislikes. It goes on to introduce diverse kids from a neighborhood. The traditional foods their like, the different languages they speak, playing differently in a playground etc. The message of the book is straight forward and makes sure to source back to Islam and Allah the Creator of us all. Illustrations are cute. The text is straight forward but I would have liked to see more literary artistry here. This book would be a beneficial addition to Muslim classrooms and masjid settings where it can spark curious questions and discussions about Allah creating us all in unique ways.
