Review:
I wasn’t really quite sure of what to expect with this read. I have read the 1st book by this author earlier this year and that book didn’t quite work for me. One thing about this book is that I am glad it isn’t written in rhyme.
The story follows Safura and her abundance of questions. As her teacher guides her to find the answer she is looking for, this book makes a refreshing discovery. When I say even adults can learn so much from reading children’s books, this is a prime example of that. The book sometimes can feel a bit preachy at times with the dialogue but I don’t expect anything less from an Islam centered story. The theme of this book is quite unique and I am happy it was submitted to be considered for the awards. Rania’s illustrations are gorgeous as always. I am glad to have this in my collection.
