MBR did a cover reveal for this book last year and with my difficult pregnancy at the time, everything felt like a blurr. When I got a physical copy of this book for 2024 award submission, the words inside the pages felt fresh and new. The story, the approach, the angle in which this story is told is quite unique. I have read Fatima al Fihri books and her accomplishment with Al-Qarawiyyin but this book goes beyond that. It takes us through its peak in history, its negligence and its revival. Beautiful words accompanied by amazing illustrations which can make any reader add this special place in their travel wishlist. Truly a remarkable book for every bookshelf!
