Review:
I have been anticipating this book for months and have been regularly checking my mail for its arrival. The expected sister-sister bond in this book is very present. I gushed even more when I started flipping the pages to find Mama and the girls attending Jumuah prayer! I love that Faizah feels at home being part of the community, in prayer.
This book bring out bravery, courage and family love into one story. There are times when we must blend in and times when we must stand out. Just like in the first 2 books, little Faizah overcomes big emotions and the author explores those emotions in a powerful yet gentle way. I love that we see fencing included in the storyline which is what the Olympic Medalist, Ibtihaj Muhammad is known for.
