Review:
This adorable story of family love is a beautiful spin in a book about henna party a the night before the wedding. This book is so rich in South Asian culture and tradition in the text and on the illustrations. The visual art is just stunning from one page to the next. Noor’s dilemma is very clear and I love that Noor is able to easily identify the people she loves around her and she comes to a beautiful conclusion all on her own. I have read and appreciated this author’s self published work throughout my reviewing journey and it is exciting to see that she has made her way with this debut book in the traditional space.
