Islamic Content: defining Insha’Allah and its daily use
Concerns: None

Summary:
Ranya asks her mother to go to the park, and her mother says insha’Allah. Ranya asks why they can’t go to the park and this question opens a lengthy and a fruitful discussion between the two.

Review:
This word. This special word that is used by 2 billion Muslims daily, has an entire book dedicated to it. Its meaning. Its use. How kids see it and understand it and how adults use it and misuse it.

I appreciate this book so so much. The curious and direct questions by the protagonist, Ranya and the tender honest way the mother answers them is beautiful. Even though this entire book focuses on one conversation between a child and her mother, it is a moving conversation, literally and figuratively. It is not a standtill setting which is what brings life to this picture book.

This book is the perfect way to explain and define the word insha’Allah to little one when we feel stuck with their questions. Get yourself a copy or borrow it from the library!
