Summary:/Review:
One of many reasons I love books is that through them, we can relive memories of the past and share them with our loved ones and readers at large. Moments that have long gone but not forgotten. This book is a great example of that.

This light story of Turkish cotton candy and how a community comes together to bring it to perfection is really refreshing. Text is short and simple, the message is important, simplified so perfectly through this adorable desert-making story. The placement of the wavy text and the unique cartoon-like illustrations add another dimension to this tale.

This story was inspired by family memories when grandpa Yahya would make pishmaniyah at family gatherings because there are more hands available to help. Grandpa Yahya was displaced from Yafa, Palestine and settled in Turkiye at a young age.
