Review:
This is the only Eid ul-Adha book I have this year to share. Every year we see so many new Ramadan books being released however, Eid ul-Adha releases are quite scarce.
This tender story has a few themes it touches upon. It ties generosity, caring, celebrating and family love into a story that speaks in a relatable way to the kids. Sami remembers his grandfather fondly and they seemed to have had a special bond.
Although a lot happens in this story, it is easy to follow and keep track of what is happening. I love the scene at the masjid and the interior details are just beautiful. The Eid ul Adha is not explained inside the story, however the back matter has a full page of information on this special holiday. It also has a list of glossary and briefly discusses what a shelter is.
I am happy to have this kind and gentle story book in my collection.
