When I read this book, the story reminded me of the earthquakes that shook Tükiye in Feb 2023. When I met with the author earlier this month, she confirmed that this story came about as an inspiration of countries coming together to help the people affected by the earthquake.
This is a kid-friendly take on how building unsafe structures can lead to dangerous results. And of course the main moral of the story is different insects (community) coming together to help in different ways.
I really loved this story and how cleverly it was executed. The illustrations are absolutely adorable. Overall an enjoyable read with an important lesson perfect for bedtime with your little ones.
