Islamic Content: Muslim Author
Concerns: none

Summary/Review:
I normally don’t review books that don’t have Islamic content or in the very least, identifiable Muslim characters. Since in the last few months I have decided to avoid books by kidlit Muslim authors who have either remained silent or have issued a ‘both sides’ statement on the on-going genocide of the people in the holyland, it is only fair that I support the work of Muslim authors who have been vocal about it, even if their books do not contain Islamic content.

Thus I begin with this fun filled book by a P@lestini@n-American author which had my kids laughing-out-loud! The silly imagination and word-play through this clever rhyming book is full of surprises. The anticipation of what will happen next is exciting with each flip of the page. Of course the incredible illustrations are done by none other than Hatem Aly whose style ignites the immagination of the inner child in all of us.

But most importantly, the underlying messaging of the story is just so sweet. This book will have your kids reinvited for out-loud reads over and over and it will feel like a new surprise all over again. As a parent, you’ll be glad every time your kid will choose this as a bedtime story.

This book comes out tomorrow!
