This book is the Ramadan joy every Muslim looks forward to every single year. Each page spread shows a scene from a different country around the world. The wholesomeness of every word and visual detail done ever so purposefully will have you and your child yearning to be inside its pages.
M.O. Yuksel’s words are ever so beautiful in every book she has had published and this book is no exception. Centering different angles of Islam on every page in a wonderfully lyrical way. Hatem Aly’s illustrations bring this bussling book to life from the smallest details to the general concept of the book.
As mentioned above, the book states that laylat ul-qadr is better than a thousand nights rather than months. Other Islamic info and concepts are spot on.
With all the Ramadan books that release every year, I don’t think that there is any other book that captures the heart of Ramadan in such wonderful and wholesome way as this one. This is a wonderful classroom read or a book to read throughour Ramadan.
And I love the last page where the last day of Ramadan is celebrated in Masjid al Aqsa. May we see a Free Palestine in our lifetime.
