Review:
This book is the 3rd one the author has released in the Serendib adventures. The books are not a continuation of one another, but stand alone reads.

The excitement and the dynamic of family and friendships that these stories bring has me and my daughter flipping through the chapters swiftly. She is 7 and chose this book to be her bed time read aloud. It kept us up past bedtime so we could see what happens next.

Selvi is a likeable character that we all wish we were, adventurous, smart, witty and courageous. With a hard working single mother and an overbearing uncle, she tries to stay out of trouble, but it seems that trouble has a way of finding her.

The kiddos will enjoy this fast paced refreshing read that will keep them on thwir toes about Lokka’s and Selvi’s fate. Characters have Muslim names but no mention of faith of any kind.
