Review:

Ah! This is such an adorable book! It is written in wonderful rhyme and in such a clever and fun way. The illustrations are just spectacular and bring so much life to the story! I love that this book takes something so common as classmates making fun of someone’s lunch and turns it into a positive and playful event instead of having the Muslim kid go through an identity crisis as we typically see in books. This book really just beautifully demonstrates ‘if life gives you lemons, make lemonade’ into a wonderful children’s storybook. I love that we see the outcome of that entrepreneurship light inside the protagonist inspire him even in his adulthood even if the Great Labne Trade was short lived. A really wonderful read for bedtime or in the classroom. This is a joyful treat.
