Review:

This book offers very unique stories with very important lessons. Which is why I wanted to highlight it on my page. After each story, the book discussed the valuable lessons the reader can extract from the story. Although the sandy colour tones and the style of illustrations may give you the vibe that this book may have been published in the 90’s, it is actually a 2022 publication. The text is straight forward and very textbook-like. I thought this would be a drawback to the kids, but to my surprise, my 8-year-old son read it and was intrigued by the stories. Why this book drew me in was the chosen stories that it includes. Kids books normally focus on popular stories from the Qur’an or Sunnah. These stories are not commonly mentioned even among adults, so they may offer something new to both kids and their adults. I might not love the illustrations or the ‘textbook’ style of text, but I appreciate the refreshing stories that show us so much value. I can see this book to be especially a useful source in Islamic Schools or even weekend classes at the masjid.
