Review:

This whimsical picture book beautifully captures the essence of dua. The voice of the protagonist, so child-like, is skillfully executed through the text. The book begins with an ayah from the Qur’an that tells us Allah is near and he is ready to answer our supplications (2:186). I love Hamza’s imagination. He has many duas that he asks Allah for. He wants to be brave and strong just like a classmate of his, he makes dua for the hereafter, makes dua to pray in Masjid al-Aqsa, and to perform hajj in Mekkah. Hamza makes duas for himself and and others who are in need. He is generous with his duas. Of course most importantly Hamza has trust in Allah that He will answer his duas because he is Al-Mujeeb. This book is a must have on even Muslim bookshelf!
