This adorable book is a simple, straight-forward introduction to the word bismillah. Maryam is shown to go throughout her day doing different activities all of which she starts with this word. I like that this book actually meets the age level of the readers it is targeting. The perfect amount of text colourful pictures. This especially will appeal to families who prefer faceless characters in books. I love that this focuses on one word and explores the uses of it, rather than having a surface level book that teaches ALL words with no true depth. Definitely a good book option for toddlers.
