Review:

Why Are You Muslim? is a book that affirms the core belief system of a Muslim. It serves as a reference source for kids who may face questions about their beliefs. Each statement is told by diverse characters throughout the book. This is not a story based book, rather it is a factual resource. I am not thrilled with the cover design, but I do like the inside illustrations of the diverse characters. Different skin tones, hair types/hijabs and variety of clothing depicted. The information is straight forward, and has been checked by a shaykh mentioned in the author’s note. I can really see this book being used in a classroom, a masjid setting as well as personal bookshelves at home.
