Review:

WOW! This book. One of the hidden gems that has surfaced in the #muslimbookstagram submission. This book is so gentle and tender. So beautiful and kind. So emotional, yet thoughtful. It is written in such a child friendly tone and language, and does an amazing job at making such a difficult topic digestible for little kids. The soft illustrations are stunning and bring the emotions of to life. I have to be honest, this book brought tears to my eyes. It is done with such tremendous care in how loss and grief is explored. The Muslim family is visibly displayed in the illustrations throughout but part of me wishes it had a sentence where it would have an Islamic tie in to Jannah. I would still highly recommend this beautiful book to every Muslim family, especially families of children who have experienced loss to help them make sense of their emotions.
