Summary:
Sulaiman feels that there is always something preventing him from having fun. While he is watching a live quad bike race, the adhan for dhuhr interrupts the race. Then it was rain that prevented him from playing football at the park. He’s so excited that now they are heading out to see a local quad bike race for the first time. Yet again, their car becomes an obstacle to overcome. On this new adventure, Sulaiman learns the importance of praying on time.

Lessons:
The main purpose of this story is learning the importance of prayer. This early chapter read works well of kids ages 8 to 11 and is accompanied by black and white illustrations. I find the main character to be a good kid with good manners who also is a bit of a whiner when things don’t go the way he expects them. I think it’s what makes him relatable to the reader at that age range. The story is not meant to get into the heavy information about why we pray, how we pray and who we pray to. Thus, it is written for Muslim kids who aready know the basics of prayer, but they need that extra jolt to get them into it more. It is an important lesson learned through a fun read. This book has pages that includes evidence from Qur’an and Sunnah, glossary, comprehension questions and the ispiration of the story. I can see this book being used in masjids and Islamic schools, it would be a perfect read.
