Muslim Boy’s/Girl’s Guide to Life’s Big Changes by Sami Khan & Rayhana Khan

These two books are slightly different from what I have posted so far. They tackle some of the delicate subjects that some of us may find hard to open up about with our kids. It is important to equip them with the correct information from the get-go.

This book is aimed at kids 9-11 years old. It covers the basics of our beliefs, advice on how to choose great friends, connection with Allah and more. (see the table of contents pictured above) Eventually leading to the basic explanation of changes that will occur in their bodies once they experience puberty.

This book is a great tool and a conversation starter as it will not answer all their curious questions. It should not simply replace the eye-to-eye discussion that needs to happen with your child but it should serve as an introduction to it.
